Rev'd Dr Paul Beasley-Murray

Senior Minister


Paul has been the senior minister since 1993 and is responsible for leading the church forward in adventurous mission and compassionate ministry.

As part of his wider ministry, Paul is Chairman of Ministry Today, and interdenominational organisation, and General Editor of its journal. Paul is also a prolific author, having published many books and also has his own website that provides a searchable database of his written material-

Paul is married to Caroline, H.M. Coroner for the County of Essex and Thurrock, and also part-time president of Mental Health Review Tribunals. They have four grown-up children.

Rev'd David Marson

Assistant Minister


David joined the team in September 2006. Before training to be a minister he worked for the NHS as an occupational therapist in the area of neurological rehabilitation.

David has two main areas of responsibility within the church:

1. Mission/Outreach - This includes the alpha course and other events/ministries which allow people to explore the issues of life. He oversees the work of the evangelism team and the development of church members as they seek to be effective in introducing others to Christ. He also oversees the development of new Christians.

2. Young Adults (20's-30's) - This includes pastoral oversight and discipleship of this age group. This includes their weekly meetings, bible study groups, weekends away and other events that seek to assist young adults to follow Christ in today's world.

David is married to Nicki and they have two children. He enjoys most things active and plays as much sport as he can. He also has a passion for music and would love to be a world class guitarist.

Martin Hills

Youth Minister


Martin joined the team in October 2006. He was previously the Senior Outreach worker for a young persons drug and alcohol service. He has now obtained a degree in Youth and Community and Applied Theology and is a JNC qualifed youth worker.

Martin is married to Carita, a primary school teacher, they have four children and a large dog!

Martin's work is focused on young people between the ages of 11 and 19. His main role is to oversee and develop the work already happening, support and encourage young people and leaders and develop a long term strategy to expand the range of the youth work.

Sue Parrotte

Children's Ministry Team Leader


Sue oversees and develops the church's ministry among, and mission to children (11 years and under) with a view to fulfilling our overall aim of 'going Christ's way and making discples'.

The key areas in Sue's work are:

* Leading a new children's ministry team
* Overseeing the pastoral care of children
* Overseeing the nurture of children who have decided to follow Jesus
* Reviewing and restructuring LIGHT FACTORY
* Developing the present BABY AND TODDLER GROUP
* Leading the annual HOLIDAY CLUB
* Developing new programmes for children and young families
